Kazuo Ichijo, a scholar of knowledge creation and management, will lead the Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy at Toyko's Hitotsubashi University.
Tokyo's Hitotsubashi University has named Kazuo Ichijo as the new dean of its Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy (ICS). Professor Ichijo began the position on April 1.
Prof. Ichijo teaches Knowledge Theory, Knowledge Management and Change Management in the MBA and executive programmes. Prof. Ichijo is also the project leader for the BEST Alliance, a strategic partnership between Hitotsubashi, Peking University Guanghua School of Management and the Seoul National University Graduate School of Business.
He joined Hitotsubashi ICS as a full time faculty member in 2007, having spent 19 years at Hitotsubashi University’s Faculty of Social Sciences and Graduate School of Social Sciences, holding the positions of assistant professor, associate professor and professor. He is the holder of a BA (social sciences) and MS (social sciences) from Hitotsubashi University, and a PhD (business administration) from the University of Michigan.
Professor Ichijo’s research interests focus on innovation through organisational knowledge creation. His areas of expertise are the development of knowledge-based competence in companies, the management of innovation and corporate transformation.
