Yale SOM Student Discusses the School's First Africa Business Practicum

Dayo Olopade, an MBA student at Yale SOM, blogged about her experience at the school’s first-ever Africa Business Practicum. The November 1 event connectedYale SOM students with their peers at Lagos Business School and the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business to discuss mobile payment regulations in five sub-Saharan countries. Olopade explored the format of the event and its strengths in a recent Yale SOM blog post: 
 

Last spring, a planning team of first and second year MBAs decided to build a day of creative, collaborative problem solving focused on results for Africa. No stale panels. No uplifting speeches. Half case competition and half workshop, the experience would be interactive and innovative, and produce deliverables for a real company in one day.
