Europe at a Crossroads: Coping with the Crisis and Deriving Implications for the World
The financial crisis that began in 2007 caused seismic shifts in the global financial system. The epicenter was in the Eurozone, calling into question the European project at large. When and how it will be solved has profound implications not only for the survival of the European currency and the future of Europe as an economic powerhouse but also for global growth over the long-term. IE economics professors will discuss the origins of the crisis, the different solutions which were implemented. They will look at the status quo, as well as the impact of the crisis on doing business in Europe and across the globe in coming years.
