Impact-Driven Entrepreneurship: Doing Good and Doing Well

This module will explore how entrepreneurs can build commercially successful ventures that also generate measurable social and environmental impact. Drawing on African and global perspectives, the programme will:

  • Analyse business models that successfully integrate profit and purpose.
  • Examine how innovation, technology and strategic partnerships help to scale solutions to societal challenges.
  • Equip participants with practical tools for assessing impact opportunities and designing sustainable ventures.
  • Provide exposure to local and regional ecosystem leaders, entrepreneurs, investors and impact enablers who are actively shaping Africa’s impact entrepreneurship landscape.

The week will feature:

  • A keynote address by an influential leader in impact-driven entrepreneurship.
  • A panel session featuring practitioners, investors and policy actors driving social innovation.
  • Interactive faculty-led sessions, case discussions and design-thinking exercises.
  • Company visits to impact-focused enterprises and innovation hubs.
  • Group work and presentations on how participants can apply impact-driven approaches within their home contexts.
