How to get to Yale SOM

New Haven is less than two hours by train or car from New York City and the New York area airports. It is also convenient to Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut, and toTweed Airport in New Haven.

Directions to 55 Hillhouse Avenue

  • Admissions Visitor Center

From Interstate 91 North or South, take Exit 3 (Trumbull Street). Go straight at the end of the ramp and through three traffic lights. At the fourth light, turn right onto Hillhouse Avenue. Travel one block and 55 Hillhouse is the last building on your right.

From Interstate 91 North or South, take Exit 3 (Trumbull Street). Go straight at the end of the ramp and through three traffic lights. At the fourth light, turn right onto Hillhouse Avenue. Travel one block and 52 and 56 Hillhouse are the last two buildings on your left.

From Interstate 91 North or South, take Exit 3 (Trumbull Street). Go straight at the end of the ramp and through three traffic lights. At the fourth light, turn right onto Hillhouse Avenue. Travel one block to the end of Hillhouse and turn left on Sachem Street. Travel one block and 135 Prospect Street is on your left at the corner of Prospect Street and Sachem Street.

Train Schedules

Both Amtrak and Metro-North trains stop in New Haven’s Union Station.

Visitors are welcome to take advantage of the free Yale University campus shuttle. Please note, that depending on the time you arrive at Union Station and shuttle location, you may need to factor extra time into your travel schedule if you choose this option.
