Professor Jikyeong Kang is the New Dean of the Asian Institute of Management

Prof. Jikyeong Kang, PhD assumed office as the eighth Dean of AIM on January 2015.

Prior to joining AIM, Prof. Kang spent fourteen and a half years with Manchester Business School (MBS) where she recently served as Director of the DBA Program. Prior to MBS, she spent nine years on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she was elected as a member of the Teaching Academy.

Prof. Jikyeong Kang, PhD assumed office as the eighth dean of the Asian Institute of Management on January 2015.

Prof. Kang specializes in branding, internal marketing orientation, service quality, customer satisfaction, and ethnicity and acculturation.

Prior to joining AIM, Prof. Kang spent fourteen and a half years with Manchester Business School (MBS) where she recently served as Director of the DBA Program. She contributed to securing the number one spot in the Financial Times Doctoral Program rankings from 2011 to 2013. She served as the Director of the MBA Programs from 2001-2007, where she was instrumental in the MBS Full-time MBA Program Financial Times rankings to skyrocket from 47th in the world in 2002, to 22nd in 2007, the highest ranking it has ever achieved. Also under Prof. Kang’s leadership, MBS earned triple accreditation from AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA. Prior to 2000, she spent nine years on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she was elected as a member of the Teaching Academy.
