The Global Network Week Tokyo Program, hosted by Hitotsubashi ICS, is centered around the theme: "Innovation x Globalization: Japan Style.”
The purpose of the program is to help students see unique innovation & globalization challenges facing Japanese business and economy through exposure to a variety of corporate practices and market phenomena in Tokyo and Japan.
The GNW Tokyo Program consists of (1) Foundations, (2) Company Sessions, and (3) Field Visits, which tentatively include the following:
- Foundations: Japan at the Crossroads, Japanese Culture, Cool Japan, Competitiveness & Clusters, Knowledge Management, and Innovation x Globalization (TENTATIVE)
- Company Sessions: Coca-Cola Japan Company, Fast Retailing (Uniqlo), Fuji Television, GE Healthcare, and SoftBank Robotics (TENTATIVE)
- Field Visits: Japan Old & New (Akihabara, Asakusa, Harajuku, Roppongi, Shibuya, Sugamo, etc.), Kamakura Tour, Tokyo Rush Hour Survival, and Uniqlo Ginza Flagship Store (TENTATIVE)
